SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP NIGHT WRAPS UP REGULAR SEASON ACTION AT MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY

FOUNTAIN CITY, WI (August 30, 2013) – Driver's wrapped up the regular season points battles of the 2013 season at MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY Friday night by pushing it all the way to the final checkered flags of weekly points paying action! And in six of the eight weekly divisions, Track Championships were wrapped up in style with feature wins!
Three repeat championships were awarded as Doug Wojcik and Tommy Richards collected back-to-back MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY Track Championships in the Jailhouse Saloon WISSOTA Street Stock and Coordinated Business Systems WISSOTA Super Stock divisions, respectively, while Josh Angst grabbed his second MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY Track Championship in the River City Manufacturing USRA Modified Division (his first was 2010).
For Wojcik and Angst, the Track Championships were gathered in with just a bit of added flair as they were just two of six Champions who also closed out the regular season with feature wins.
Wojcik raced his way to the front of a competitive Jailhouse Saloon WISSOTA Street Stock field to grabbed his 10th feature win of the season, while Angst stepped away from a very strong River City Manufacturing USRA Modified pack to collect his fourth feature win of the year.
In the Black Horse Bar & Grill USRA B-Mod division Jacob Bleess worked his way to the front of the field to nail down his fifth feature win on 2013 just a bit after Bobby Fort, Jr. also completed his Championship winning season with a feature win in the Elmer's Auto Salvage MTS Pure Stock division.
Likewise, both track champions on The Lightning Speedway wrapped up 2013 Track Championships with feature wins in the Sunshine Sanitation A & B Mini Mod divisions; Alex Stevens in the 'A' division and Matthew LaDuke in the 'B' division.
In the Coordinated Business Systems WISSOTA Super Stock Division, Dan Gullikson played a bit of a pattern breaker by winning the evening's 20-lap feature ahead of Richards with Bob Cisewski doing the same, winning the redbox+ 600 Mod feature ahead of Track Champion Don Werner.
Track Champions in all weekly divisions, as well as other top-10 finishers in the division's points battles, will be crowned and awarded the spoils of a strong season at the 2013 MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY Awards Banquet scheduled for December 7th at the River Port Inn & Suites in Winona, MN.
Racing resumes next week with the $10,000-to-win Baehman Law B-Mod Nationals scheduled for September 4th through the 7th. Wednesday the 4th is an evening of open practice for USRA Modified and B-Mod competitors from 6 to 9 PM.

Thursday September 5th is the first night of green-flag action with a 7 PM scheduled start:

The three-day extravaganza wraps up Saturday September 7th with the third and final night of racing (rain date is Sunday September 8th) with a start time of 6 PM including B Mains, Non-Qualifier feature, $10,000-to-win A Main, & Complete $1000-to-win A Mod Show:
