It has been a tough last month for Mississippi Thunder Speedway. After a great start to the 2024 season with many big events including Case Construction World of Outlaws Late Models Dairyland Showdown, Karl Fenske Memorial, USMTS Spring Shootout, The Big Deal 24 and Dirt Kings Stars & Stripes 40, everything had the making for a legendary summer in Fountain City, WI.
Unfortunately since Friday, June 7, Mother Nature has thrown the red flag on racing action and it has left promoter Tyrone Lingenfelter hungry to get action back at the speedway.
"We were so busy all spring with the upgrades that we had done to the speedway and with all of the big events that we had it was kind of nice to have a break after our Dirt Kings event at the beginning of June," he said. "Now with all of the time off, it has been a bummer not having anyone at the facility for a month.
"Finally this Friday the weather is looking great and I know Bob and myself are excited to get cars back in the pits and fans in the stands."
Mark your calendars and make those plans to head to the stands at Mississippi Thunder Speedway Friday night for Waumandee Country Bar Night. All six weekly classes will be competing as well as the Outlaw Mini-Mod Series.
