FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ALTA, Iowa (June 14) – The USMTS Casey’s General Stores National Tour is back in action this week with a mouth-watering line-up of events showcasing the premier dirt modified drivers in America.

Featuring an exciting mix of familiar venues, as well as several new locales, the on-track action is certain to satisfy every race fan's hunger for speed and wheel-to-wheel competition.

On Wednesday, June 16, the series invades the Buena Vista Raceway in Alta, Iowa, for the 3rd Annual Cookies Sauces & Seasonings Battle at the Beaver.

Last August at BVR, Jason Hughes and Kelly Shryock waged an epic battle that saw Hughes take the checkered flag while Shryock went on to capture his ninth USMTS national title. Al Hejna won the June event last year and Shryock emerged victorious in the 2008 show.

NASCAR veteran and SPEED Channel broadcaster Kenny Wallace will be competing against the USMTS mud-slingers in his own Federated Auto Parts modified and signing autographs for the fans during intermission.

Pit gates will open at 5 p.m., grandstands open at 6, hot laps begin at 6:30 and the first heat race is scheduled to take the green flag at 7 p.m. Also on the racing card will be IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Hobby Stocks, Bombers and Sport Compacts.

Race fans can pick up $2-off coupons on Thursday at Casey's General Stores locations in Alta, Aurelia and Storm Lake. To find the Casey's location nearest you, check out www.caseys.com online.

The Buena Vista Raceway is a 3/8-mile semi-banked dirt oval located 0.5 mile east of CR M31 on SR 7 (at the Buena Vista County Fairgrounds). For more information, call 712-664-2662 or 712-284-2561 or visit www.buenavistaraceway.com.
